Specific Objectives

This section should detail the objectives of the artistic project to achieve the expected results. The objectives must be measurable and attainable, considering that the Plataforma Residency Program lasts five months. Be as specific as possible, as these objectives will serve as a reference during the program in case you are selected.

Background and Justification of Artistic Project

This section has two main objectives:

1) To provide details and additional information to better understand the project.

2) To explain the context of the production that is sought to be carried out, based on the previous research conducted by the resident.

The text should clearly and concisely address the background of the topic, as well as the conceptual framework that justifies the proposal.

Work plan and resource use

The work plan must include a detailed calendar for the project development during the five months of the residency. This calendar should be divided month by month, specifying the activities, goals, and objectives to be met at each stage. The purpose of this exercise is to evaluate the feasibility of the project and the organizational capacity of the resident, considering both the deadlines and the potential obstacles that may arise.

It is important for the resident to be realistic with the assigned times and to consider factors such as research development, creation, production, and evaluation, as appropriate for their project. In addition, an Excel document must be prepared that details:

Activities and goals per month, specifying what is expected to be achieved in each phase of the project. Estimated expenses for each month, in relation to the resources needed to carry out the activities, such as materials, tools, transportation, among others. The total amount available for each resident is $50,000.00 MXN, divided into monthly payments during the residency ($10,000.00 MXN per month).
This section will serve to evaluate the resident's ability to adequately plan resources and time, in addition to verifying whether the expense estimation is realistic and corresponds to the needs of their project. With this information, the program will be able to analyze the resident's chronological planning and determine if the project is viable within the temporal and financial framework.
Resource use (The available resources can be allocated to the following specific categories):
- Materials: For the acquisition of necessary supplies for the development of the project (e.g., canvases, pigments, paper, tools, etc.).
- Specialized equipment: Includes the purchase or rental of technical equipment that is essential for the project's execution (e.g., cameras, projectors, sound equipment, etc.).
- Software licenses: For the use of programs or applications necessary in the development of the project (e.g., design software, editing, 3D modeling, etc.).
- Workshops or courses: If necessary, resources may be allocated to enrollment in specialized workshops or courses that support the development of the project.
- Professional services/trades: Includes payment for hiring external professionals or experts in specific areas required by the project (e.g., technicians, designers, consultants, etc.).
- Food and transportation:This item is limited to a maximum of 20% of the total resource amount and may cover basic food and transportation expenses directly related to the execution of the project.

It is important that resources are distributed appropriately, prioritizing the essential needs of the project and respecting the mentioned categories. Budget allocations must be realistic and justified to ensure efficient execution within the residency period.

Visual Material

In this section, visual evidence supporting the project proposal must be presented. This may include images, sketches, renders, videos, or any other type of multimedia material that helps to visualize and explain the proposed idea. It is important to ensure that these links are accessible, as any material that is not accessible will not be considered part of the application.
