Detours and translations
A dialogue took place between anthropologist Carmen Díaz and Yásnaya Aguilar, a writer and linguist, who was part of the "Ancestral Transmission" exhibition.
The conversation focused on the translation of indigenous languages as both a tool and an opening for new possibilities, the relationship between linguistics and the construction of the state/nation, as well as the essential need to transcend the linguistic limits imposed by cultural, social, and political hegemonies.
